Staff Bios

Kathleen Anderson joined the Foundation as Executive Director in July 2003 after a corporate career in marketing and finance. Kathy brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm, along with her own 16 years of Catholic education, to the CEF. Her personal conviction that a Catholic school education is good for the future of the child, the Catholic Church, and the neighborhoods in the LA Archdiocese, is closely aligned with the CEF mission.

Katie Carmody recently joined the CEF staff as a Development Administrative Assistant.  She is a former volunteer for the Religious Education Congress of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.  Katie ensures the speedy delivery of all donor thank you letters and assists the development team in marketing efforts and special events.

Theresa Fragoso has been with the Foundation since 1998. As the Director of Programs, she administers all CEF programs, tracks results of CEF students and identifies the growing tuition needs within the Archdiocese.

Natalie Jacob joined the CEF staff as Executive Assistant in February 2009, after working at St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica where she coordinated special events and volunteers. In her role as Executive Assistant, she is responsible for assisting the Executive Director with communications with the Board of Trustees and Foundation committees planning and organizing meetings and special events.

Norma Mora joined the CEF staff in 1999 after working at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Los Angeles. As Marketing Assistant, she is responsible for all Foundation letter appeal, graphic design and photography and donor records.

Lorna Saenz arrived at the Foundation in 2003 in a volunteer role and soon came to join us full time. Following a long banking career, she serves as the CEF’s chief compliance officer, supports the grant writing efforts, coordinates the volunteer pool and organizes the nine schools tours that take place throughout the year.

Mayra Sanchez joined the CEF staff as Administrative Assistant in 2005.  She is currently pursuing a Masters in Psychology at Pepperdine University and plans to become a Neuropsychologist.  Mayra provides valuable research to all team members and assists in marketing and development efforts.

Anthony T. Sciacca recently joined CEF as Director of Development with two decades’ experience in resource development. Working on behalf of children, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, is something very near his heart. Anthony is responsible for leading a team in fund development to assure the Foundation can continue providing the financial assistance to nearly 7,000 students.

Andrew Wilcox joined the CEF staff as Information Technology Administrator in February 2010.  His responsibilities include management of the Foundation’s donor and program databases and maintaining the CEF Website.  Andrew provides support that is vital to our marketing and development efforts in how we track our students and stay true to our commitment of being donor-centered.
